Pomegranate Martini Recipes

First it was appletini's, chocolate martinis, and many different variations of martinis in between. The popular martini of today is the Pomegranate Martini. Oprah being the woman of sophistication that she is, is also a big fan of the pomegranate martini, and here is her exact recipe, a recipe developed by Rachael Ray. Oprah's Pomegranate Martini is delicious!
Yields: Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
2 ounces Absolute Citron vodka or white tequila
1 ounce Cointreau liquor
Cup of ice
Splash of sparkling water (optional)
Squeeze of lemon (optional)
Shake ingredients in a shaker and put in chilled martini glasses. Put pomegranate fruit into glass as garnish.
But this is our personal favorite when it comes to Pomegranate Martinis:
Yields: Serves 1
Ingredients:
1/4 cup orange-flavored vodka
3 tablespoons chilled pomegranate juice
2 tablespoons simple syrup
1 tablespoon orange liqueur
Garnish: lemon slices
Combine first 4 ingredients in a shaker filled with ice. Shake well, and strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with lemon slices, if desired.
